Monopoli Town House

Puglia, Italy

A small house, 20 m² footprint on four levels, directly on the Adriatic Coast in the historic centre of Monopoli, Puglia, Italy.

The house has been added to over the centuries, and was close to collapse. It has now been strengthened and made accessible by actual stairs. An independent studio at ground floor level and an apartment on the first and second floor, plus a roof terrace overlooking the sea. It is tiny, the view is vast though — an endless horizon and not much more but the sound of the sea and fishing boats.
