Giardini
The gardens at Masseria Sant’Aniello are conceived as a sequence of distinct worlds, each with its own character, moving from the historic to the wild.
At the heart of the garden is the agrumeto — a classical Italian citrus garden of exceptional beauty and integrity, enclosed within high stone walls and planted in formal symmetry with orange, mandarin and lemon trees. Fragrant and largely unchanged across centuries, it is the garden’s anchor.
From there, the sequence progresses through a scented herb garden, an orchard, and a kitchen garden — a farm-to-table continuity that connects the household to the land the masseria was always built to work. At the furthest point, surrounding the new spa complex, a wild exotic garden: lush, tropical in character, private and sensory, designed as a deliberate counterpoint to the austerity of the ancient stone.
